July What was high school like for you?

[private]

I was a little prick in high school. One of those entitled spoiled jerks who ruled the school with no real regard for those I hurt in my position of power. Luthor was a geek, and I never let him forget it. He had issues, major issues, but then most of us did. You throw that many heirs to power in the same school and you're going to end up with a Lord of the Flies situation on your hands.

Eventually I grew out of my jackass stage. I can still be an asshole, but there is usually a reason for it now. I've lost some of my sense of entitlement, and I don't torment people just because I can anymore. High School was easy for me. I was a good looking kid with money and a good name. Guys wanted to be my friend, or they wanted to be me. High School wasn't easy for some people. I don't think it's easy for most people really.

It's been years since the day our bullying got a classmate killed. The situation turned out to be way more fucked up than any of us realized, but the fact is we basically killed him that night. Luthor, me, and everyone else who was there that day. Everyone who used the guy as a stepladder on our way to the top.

I think what is fucked up about High School is that no matter how much you change the person you were then stays with you. Even if it's just in your nightmares.

FM June Look at her, she's smiling, but is she happy? She's smiling, so it doesn't matter. Let me t

Chloe has a sunshine smile as long as she has had her first two cups of coffee in the morning. Truth be told, Oliver was reluctant at first to ask her to move in. It made more sense to have her close by since they were working on the same thing, but Oliver was used to living on his own. He hadn't expected how easy it would be to fall into a comfortable routine with his roommate. That sunshine smile could melt a million hearts, yet if you look closely you can see that it rarely reaches her eyes.

At first he wrote it off as her being homesick. She was originally Clark's best friend, and he swooped in to steal her away. Then he chalked it up to the fact she and Jimmy had ended on less than stellar terms. Much like he and Lois had ended actually. Sometimes people aren't meant to be together. Jimmy was a nice enough kid, but Oliver didn't think a girl like Chloe was meant to be with him for the long run any more than he was meant to be with a girl like Lois.

There are temporary stops for matters of the heart, but workaholics like Ollie and Chloe are too busy to deal with those stops for too long. There is always another story to uncover. Another mystery to solve. Another crisis to take care of. Another life to save.

It takes him awhile to realize he's becoming obsessed with solving the mystery that is Chloe Sullivan. What is going on behind those eyes? What is that sunshine smile hiding? He'll figure it out sooner or later. After all, he may not excel at matters of the heart, but he does solve the mysteries that intrigue him.

FM application: Introduction

I've never been big on introductions. We live in the age of technology. Anything you want to know about me you could have at your fingertips with only a few simple keystrokes. I could tell you not to believe everything you read, but that would just encourage you to believe it all. After all, how does one explain why they were caught making out with triplets at the beach party they threw to send one of their friends off into marital bliss? The explanation is kind of boring honestly. See one of our mutual friends hired the triplets as entertainment, and I was ensuring that the groom to be wouldn't end up in trouble with his new bride. It's tough being a good friend, but the important things are supposed to be tough.

Anyway, yes I'm Oliver Queen, and if you keep up with society papers or tabloids you might have heard of me. It's unfortunate that I'm known more for my personal exploits than for the extraordinary work that my company does, but people tend to like to read juicy personal details over stock reports. I'm the CEO of Queen Industries. My father built the company, and I inherited it when he and my mother perished in a plane crash when I was a child. I had very big shoes to fill when I stepped up after I finished school to take over the company. I have no illusions that I am even half the man my father was. That doesn't stop me from trying to continue the good work that he began when he built the company.

Anything else you want to know should be available with a basic internet search, or found in any of the numerous unauthorized biographies that are available at your local bookstores.

"Los Angeles?" The voice on the other end of the phone said. There was a hint of doubt to the tone. Only Clark Kent could make a city sound like an accusation. Oliver smirked as he closed his suitcase. He was constantly on the go. It's been that way for years. There was no telling how long he'd be in LA, but he knew it was where he needed to be.

"You can come out and visit. A little fun in the sun would do you some good." Not that Ollie was heading to the city of plastic beauties and surfing to have fun. His favorite target decided to set up shop there. That meant it was time to make a visit to the beach house he rarely used, and check in with his old prep school rival.

His eyes scanned the reports that he had received. The file on the new head of personal security was dangerously thin. What the hell was Lex up too? He's hiring children to protect him now?

Well. She was a pretty girl. Looked a bit like Victoria and Lana. Maybe that was all there was to it. Maybe not. You never could tell with Lex.

"Lex moved to Los Angeles."

"Did he?"

"That's why you're headed there. Oliver, don't you think he's going to figure out your secret if you keep targeting LuthorCorp facilities?" Clark sounded exasperated. This made Ollie roll his eyes.

He tossed the reports into his briefcase before checking his watch. His jet would be ready for take out in twenty minutes. "I have connections in Los Angeles. I have a house there. There is nothing suspicious about me heading to LA."

"Right. The timing isn't suspicious at all."

"Maybe I'll swing by Gotham too. Make it look like I'm making my Billionaire playboy rounds. You know how it is, Clark, the lot of us stick together."

"Be careful, Oliver."

"Always." He hung up the phone and grabbed his things. It was time to make his rounds in the land of plastic beauty and sunshine. Oh Lex Luthor, what are you up to this time?
